In the gardens of Marrakech, there were birds and exotic plants surrounded by the most intense cobalt blue buildings. The poet Tayyeb El Wastri wrote a poem about the gardens entitled “Printemps” and I wrote it in Arabic, an ultimate drawing experience in itself. Patterns are everywhere in Morocco, ceramic tiles are pathways to the Divine. Mosaic in Tunisia seem to be the life blood of its civilization.
